James Franco to Be Roasted by Comedy Central

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- James Franco is getting in the hot seat.  He's the next celeb to be roasted by a slew of comedians thanks to Comedy Central.

"I've dreamed about this roast for as long as I can remember," Franco said of the honor.

Franco should provide plenty of fodder for comedians, from his artwork to his random tweets to that time he hosted the Oscars with Anne Hathaway.  Oh, and that time he served as a contributing editor for Playboy magazine.

"If only James Franco was a more successful, multihyphenated, incessant creative risk taker in different media, he'd be the perfect person to roast.  Oh well...I suppose we'll just have to make do," Comedy Central's president Kent Alterman, said in a statement.

By being roasted by Comedy Central, Franco joins the likes of Roseanne Barr, Joan Rivers, Charlie Sheen and Donald Trump.

Comedy Central Roast of James Franco is set to air on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2.
