(WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va) -- Jonas Blixt shot a 3-under 67 Sunday to win the Greenbrier Classic by two strokes over four players.
Blixt, who hadn't had a top-ten finish all season, came into Sunday trailing by four strokes. But he hung on all day and his birdie on 16 gave him the lead for good as he finished the tournament at 13-under 267.
"This year has been kind of a bad year for me," Blixt told the Golf Channel. "Just to pull it off...I can't believe it."
The win vaults Blixt up the FedEx Cup Standings from 139th to 39th and secures him a spot in next year's Masters.
Steven Bowditch, Johnson Wagner, Matt Jones, and Jimmy Walker all tied for second finishing the tournament at 11-under.
The win is Blixt's second on the PGA Tour.
