(LAS VEGAS) — Kevin Durant and Kevin Love are locked in for the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain. Both Durant and Love addressed the media on Wednesday and are happy to be playing for coach Mike Krzyzewski again.
“Representing your country, you can’t take that for granted,” Durant said on Wednesday. “I knew last summer I was going to commit and play this next World Cup. I’m looking forward to the opportunity, man, playing against the best in the world and playing with the best in the world.”
Both Team USA chairman Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski were in attendance. Love and Durant were on the roster that brought home a gold medal during the 2010 World Championships.
“Being a part of USA basketball has done a lot for my career….Jerry and coach keep mentioning being part of the USA Basketball family, heading forward, we’re looking for better and brighter things,” Love said.
Durant also said the both Russell Westbrook and James Harden will return from the 2010 team, but was not sure about LeBron James’ plans.
