Lauryn Hill Begins Three Month Prison Sentence

The singer traveled to Danbury to be checked into a federal prison in Connecticut, according to TMZ.
Officials tell the site that Hill is expected to join the general population in the minimum security facility, where inmates live in “barracks type” housing.
The singer pleaded guilty late last year to having failed to pay taxes for three years worth of earnings totaling nearly $1.8 million. In May, she was sentenced to three months in prison and three months of home confinement with electronic monitoring as part of one year of probation.
