Posting a picture of her with Monteith, Michele wrote on Twitter, “Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart.”

In its first 20 minutes, her post had received nearly 50,000 retweets and 45,000 favorites.

Days after his death from “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol,” Michele’s rep issued a statement to ABC News on July 16, saying the star was mourning the death of her co-star and boyfriend of more than a year.

“Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans. Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them,” the rep’s statement read. “They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family.”

Last week, Michele and Glee creator Ryan Murphy gathered the cast and crew in Los Angeles for a private memorial service at Paramount Studios “to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith,” 20th Century Fox said a statement to ABC News.

Michele also insisted that the start of the new season of Glee be postponed by only one week.

“She was very adamant that she thought it was best for the cast and crew to get back to together sooner [rather] than later so that mortgages could be paid and people could take care of their families,” Murphy told the website TVLine.com.
