(LONDON) — A day after knocking off Serena Williams, Sabine Lisicki cruised past Kaia Kanepi 6-3, 6-3 in 65 minutes to advance to her second career Wimbledon semifinal on Tuesday.
“I was ready today,” Lisicki said. “I knew from the past, out of experience, that I needed to make the switch quickly to be ready, and that’s what I did.”
Liscki’s next opponent will be Agniezka Radwanska, who defeated No. 6 Li Na 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-2.
Marion Bartoli eliminated Sloane Stephens 6-4, 7-5, which leaves no more U.S. players at Wimbledon. Stephens did all she could to get within 5-4 and even had a 5-all, but Bartoli took the last two games.
