(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The head of one of the world’s largest drug cartels was arrested in Mexico this week. Miguel Trevino Morales, who grew up in Dallas, Texas, was in charge of Los Zetas, which distributes narcotics of all kinds throughout the U.S., including Idaho. Officials with the Idaho State Police say they don’t expect Morales’ apprehension to slow down illegal drug operations going on in the Gem State. At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of $2 million, several assault weapons, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
