Officer Cleared in Fatal Petco Standoff

(POCATELLO, ID) – No criminal charges will be filed against a police officer who shot and killed a man during a standoff in Chubbuck earlier this year.  An outside investigation by the Blackfoot Police Department and Ada County prosecutors found that the officer was justified in fatally shooting Bradley Wilson. Wilson led police on a car and foot chase that ultimately ended at the Petco in Chubbuck. Wilson then took a hostage in the parking lot and refused to cooperate with police. An autopsy later revealed that Wilson was under the influence of methamphetamine at the time of the standoff
