Open Burn Ban in Effect for Pocatello

(POCATELLO, ID) – The city of Pocatello and Bannock County have issued a ban on all open fires until October 1. This includes the Wildland Urban Interface in the foothill areas surrounding the Gate City. Barbecue grilling with charcoal briquettes or propane is still allowed. Those wishing to conduct open burning in effected areas for any other purpose must obtain a permit from the Pocatello Fire Department.
