Pacers Close to Deal with David West
Published at(NEW YORK) — The Indiana Pacers are close to re-signing forward David West, reports ESPN.com.
West was a key factor in the Pacers getting to the Eastern Conference Finals this season. He may sign a three-year deal worth more than $36 million, according to a league source.
West averaged 17.1 points and 7.7 rebounds for Indiana and was a vocal leader on the team all season long.
Indiana also signed former Brooklyn Nets guard C.J. Watson to a two-year contract on Tuesday.
Watson averaged 6.8 points and 2.0 assists with Brooklyn last season.
