Report: Andrew Bynum Is Headed to Cleveland
(NEW YORK) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a two-year contract with Andrew Bynum that could be worth up to $24 million, according to ESPN.
Bynum, who missed all of last season with knee issues, is guaranteed $6 million. Bynum can make another $6 million next season if he reaches quotas based upon his health and number of games played. The second year of the contract is a team option.
The 25-year-old has dealt with knee issues throughout his career. He's had multiple surgeries and treatments on both knees.
But when Bynum's been healthy he's been good. The 7-foot, 285 pound big man averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds for the Lakers during the 2011-12 season, and was named to the Western Conference All-Star team.
