(LOS ANGELES) — Free agent center Byron Mullens has agreed to a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Clippers worth $2 million, according to ESPN. The second year of the deal is a player option.
The 24-year-old Mullens averaged 10.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game with Charlotte last season. He started 41 of the 53 games for the Bobcats.
Mullens was originally selected by the Dallas Mavericks out of Ohio State with the 24th overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft. He was dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he spent two seasons, before being traded to the Bobcats.
In 144 career games, Mullens has averaged 8.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
