Trade rumors are surrounding the team, but general manager Daryl Morey has no plans to trade players like Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik.

Reports have surfaced that the team has been shopping Lin and Asik around so the team can create even more cap space. But despite these reports, Morey is doing his best to shoot down any and all rumors.

“Both with Omer and Jeremy, we feel like they’re good fits for Dwight,” Morey told the Houston Chronicle. “Omer and Dwight would give us the best (centers) in the league in combination. Jeremy is an attacking guard, great in pick-and-roll, a great fit for Dwight. Dwight works great with shooting and attacking guards.”

In his first season in Houston, Lin averaged 13.4 points and 6.1 assists per game and made a great back-court duo with James Harden. Meanwhile, Asik, who was also in his first season in Houston, averaged 10.1 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.

Howard is expected to make his decision sometime at the of this week.
