Braun has received much criticism following the suspension all around baseball, including from 2011 National League runner-up Matt Kemp this week.

Kemp believed Braun should be stripped of his 2011 MVP title.

Braun released a statement through the Brewers public relations department on Thursday.

“See Mark [Attanasio’s] comments or reference what he said,” the statement read. “When I am able to, I will speak.”

“I know it was difficult for everybody, but I was not, and still am not, legally allowed to say anything yet.”

Braun was referring to comments made by Brewers general manager Mark Attanasio on Wednesday.

“I think [Braun] has to get to the point where he can actually speak about this,” Attanasio said. “Major League Baseball is in the midst of an ongoing investigation. He is obviously now cooperating with baseball. He is cooperating in such a way that he is going to let them conclude or get further into the investigation before he talks.”
