(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  —   According to Idaho Falls Police, three people went swimming in the Snake River Thursday evening around 9pm.  It was thought one of the three did not return to the shore.   Police believed that person to be a 25-year old black man.  After interviewing witnesses Police detectives indicated the individual may have been drinking prior to entering the river.  Several divers were in the water, searching and two support groups on either side of the river.   The incident delayed the start of the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration fireworks for close to an hour.  At that time, no one was found in the river near the area he was thought to have last been seen, and down-stream.   Rescues crews suspended the search just before 11pm.   No other word has been released by authorities.
