Swisscom’s CEO, Carsten Schloter, was found dead in his home Tuesday morning, Bloomberg reports. The police believe the case to be a suicide.

According to Swisscom, “an investigation into the exact circumstances is underway.” The company adds, “Out of consideration for the family no further details have been disclosed.”

Swisscom’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hansueli Loosli, released a statement, saying, “The Board of Directors, Group Executive Board and the entire workforce are deeply saddened and pass on their condolences to the family and relatives.”

In 2000 Schloter joined Swisscom as Head of Swisscom Mobile and in 2006 he was appointed CEO, according to the Swisscom website.
