Accident Knocks Out Power in Blackfoot

(BLACKFOOT, ID) – A truck accident knocked out power to more than 1,700 customers in Blackfoot Wednesday afternoon. Idaho Power officials say a dump truck hit a power pole on Mitchell Lane at around 2 p.m., cutting off electricity to residents in the southeast part of town for about three hours. The accident remains under investigation. The driver’s name has not been released.
