Amber Tamblyn to Join “Two And a Half Men”
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Two and a Half Men has added a woman!
Amber Tamblyn will join the CBS sitcom in the role of Jenny, the long-lost, lesbian daughter of Charlie Harper (played by former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen), ABC News confirmed.
According to Deadline, Tamblyn’s character will appear in five episodes, and if she resonates with viewers, she could become a co-lead in the show, alongside Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer.
Tamblyn joins as Angus T. Jones, who played Cryer’s son, will not return as a series regular.
Series creator Chuck Lorre told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s summer tour that “the show has had enough testosterone to last a lifetime.”
“I think it would be great to have a voice on the show from a different perspective,” he said. “Part of the fun in this has been creating a character that is equal to the task of stepping on the stage with Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher. That’s a big job.”
“The idea of the character brings a healthy amount of decadence,” he added. “[That] is always fun on Two and a Half Men.”
