Asiana Offering $10,000 to San Francisco Crash Survivors
(LOS ANGELES) -- Asiana Airlines is offering $10,000 to each survivor from its plane that crashed while landing in San Francisco last month.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Asiana has offered the money to all 288 surviving passengers as initial compensation after Flight 214 came in too low and struck a sea wall at San Francisco International Airport on July 6, killing three passengers.
Accepting the money won't prevent a passenger from suing the airline, an airline spokesperson said.
