(HAILEY, ID) – Authorities have lifted an evacuation order for the Sun Valley and Ketchum areas now that the Beaver Creek Fire is about 75 percent contained. Fire managers say the 173-square-mile fire didn’t grow on Saturday, and that many of the original 1,200 crewmen battling the blaze have been moved to other fires in the Intermountain West. The fire will likely be fully contained by Friday. In the mean time, the town of Atlanta about 50 miles to the west of Sun Valley remains under mandatory evacuation orders.
