Boy Dies in Fremont County Crash

(ASHTON, ID) – A juvenile riding in the back of a pickup was killed in an accident in Fremont County Monday morning. Authorities say the accident claimed the life of Cole Orme in the Squirrel area about eight miles east of Ashton around 11 a.m. Investigators believe Cole’s father Kevin had a mattress in the back of his pickup with Cole riding on top of it. Though driving at only 25 miles per hour, the mattress blew out of the truck, ejecting Cole, who fatally hit his head on the pavement. An investigation is ongoing
