California Man Faces Sex, Drug Charges

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – A California man was arrested felony charges for allegedly touching an older woman inappropriately Tuesday night.Police say 19-year-old Elijah Schmidt of Quartz Hill, Calif. was engaged in inappropriate behavior with a 36-year-old victim. The arrest occurred on the 3200 block of Outlet Boulevard. Authorities also determined that Schmidt was driving a vehicle that had been stolen out of Los Angeles. Schmidt was found to be under the influence of marijuana at the time of his arrest. He remains in the custody of the Bonneville County Jail.
