(NEW YORK) — Sitting second in the Sprint Cup standings, Clint Bowyer is looking forward to the remaining races as NASCAR grows closer to the chase for the championship.
Bowyer has had 11 top 10 finishes this season and is looking forward to racing at Watkins Glen on Sunday.
“It’s come to be some of the msot exciting racing we have in our sport,” Bowyer told ABC Sports Radio on Friday. “Never know what the outcomes going to be. A lot of wild passing, especially on restarts. A lot of emotions and crashing.”
As for the chase for the championship, Bowyer is hoping to turn it to another level as it grows closer to September.
“Certainly being able to elevate our game at the right time is something we’ve been able to capitalize on,” Bowyer said. “That doesn’t mean we can do it this year, but certainly hope that we can look forward to having some wins in the chase and compete for the championship.”
