One of the players sent to LA was outfielder Carl Crawford, and Crawford still can’t help but reflect negatively about his time with the Red Sox.

Prior to the 2011 season, Crawford signed a seven-year deal with the Red Sox worth $142 million. Crawford was expected to be a major part of the team’s offense and defense, but it didn’t work out that way.

Crawford battled numerous injuries, and played in just 161 games over two seasons with the team. He’s still not over how things went while playing there.

“That was one of the toughest times in my life, ever, from when I was a little kid, 1 year old,” Crawford told ESPN Los Angeles. “It definitely was one of the best things to ever happen to me in my life to be traded over here.”

Crawford has gone back to being a productive player since suiting up for the Dodgers.

Through 89 games, Crawford is batting .293 and has helped the Dodgers climb up to first place in the NL West this season.
