Drone Testing Could Happen at INL
(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The Idaho National Laboratory could be a future testing site for unmanned flying aircraft. The Idaho Department of Commerce is pushing the project, which would put drones in secure airspace above the INL. Officials say the open desert is an ideal testing place, and wouldn’t be much different from drone projects currently run by the Bureau of Land Management in the area. State Senate Majority Leader Bart Davis says Idaho laws will protect the privacy of citizens from unwarranted surveillance.
