EJ Manuel Will Miss Rest of Preseason
Published at(NEW YORK) — Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback EJ Manuel will miss the remainder of the preseaon with a left knee injury.
“EJ Manuel had some swelling in his left knee this morning and was examined by our medical staff,” Bills head coach Doug Marrone said in a statement. “An MRI revealed that he will need to have a minor knee procedure and that has been scheduled. He will miss the remainder of the preseason and then be re-evaluated at that time. Kevin Kolb will be our starting quarterback for this weekend’s game at Washington.”
Manuel, the first quarterback taken in this year’s NFL Draft, has had a good preseason completing 26-of-33 passes for 199 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Kevin Kolb replaces Manuel as the team’s starter. Kolb completed 13-of-21 passes with an interception in the Bills’ victory over the Minnesota Vikings Friday.
