poky flooding

(POCATELLO, ID) – Hundreds of homes and businesses in Pocatello and Chubbuck are still drying out after the Gate City was hammered by flash flooding Friday afternoon. The National Weather Service reported rainfall in excess of one inch in less than 45 minutes. Cleaning companies have been working around the clock to dry out carpet and clear mud from basements, which were especially hard hit. Experts say carpet in most homes may still be salvageable, though padding will likely have to be replaced.
