Thanks to larger supplies and lower demands, USA Today reports the national average gas price will likely fall to about $3.40 a gallon in the next few weeks.

According to USA Today, the federal Energy Information Administration predicts 2014 will average $3.37 a gallon- the lowest average since $2.80 in 2010.

Wholesale prices are also falling. Despite a large jump on Friday, wholesale prices have been going down since late July.

According to gas price tracking website gasbuddy.com, prices can still vary depending on region. Parts of Virginia are at less than $3 while one California town is at $4.79, USA Today reports.
