I.F. Emergency Crews Taking Longer to Respond
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Response times to emergencies in Idaho Falls are leaving some paramedics concerned that help for those who need it may come too late. It’s taken ambulances up to 40 minutes to respond to life-threatening calls in the past year. Officials say under-staffing and a lack of funds have created potentially dire situations, with many people being left without help because crews are responding to other calls. 20-year-veteran city councilwoman Ida Hardcastle says she doesn’t believe emergency crews are currently understaffed.
