(POCATELLO, ID) – Students at Idaho State University may have broken a world record Saturday. Over 200 students crowded onto Bartz Field to tally up the longest distance ever traveled on a slip-n-slide. Using water, lots of dish soap, and a tarp more than 100 feet long, each participant went down the slide an average of a dozen times, solidifying a record of more than 36 miles. Organizers say they had to document each student sliding down each time to make sure everything was accurate. They expect to hear back from the Guiness Book of World Records before the end of the year.
