Long-Lasting Celebrity Couples Still Together Today

But not reality star and fashion designer Rachel Zoe, who Thursday celebrated 22 years of marital happiness with husband Rodger Berman. Zoe posted a picture of the happy couple on Instagram with the caption “Happy anniversary to us!!! 22 blissful years.”
In a culture in which temptations often take over, it’s nice to see a couple stronger than ever.
Here’s 10 more celebrity duos who have stayed true to each other over the years.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick – 16 years:
The Sex and the City star, 48, married the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off actor, 51, on May 9, 1997. The couple has a son, James, and twin girls, Marion and Tabitha. The actress recently gushed about her happy marriage in Harper’s Bazaar. “I love Matthew Broderick. Call me crazy, but I love him,” she said in the August issue. “We’re very devoted to our family and our lives. I love our life. I love that he’s the father of my children, and it’s because of him that there’s this whole other world that I love.”
Meryl Streep and Don Gummer – 34 years:
The 17-time Oscar nominated actress, 64, married artist Don Gummer, 66, on Sept. 30, 1978, at her parents’ home in Connecticut. They have four children, Mami, Grace, Henry and Louisa. In 2003, Streep told Good Housekeeping, “I don’t know what I’d do without my husband. I’d be dead, emotionally at least, if I hadn’t met him.” When she won her third Oscar for The Iron Lady in 2012, she made sure to thank her husband first. “First, I’m going to thank Don, because when you thank your husband at the end of the speech, they play him out with the music and I want him to know that everything I value most in our lives, you’ve given me.”
Dustin Hoffman and Lisa Gottsegen – 32 years:
The Tootsie star, 76, married businesswoman Lisa Gottsegen, 58, in October 1980. They have four children and two grandchildren. Gottsegen said the secret to their marriage was that she and Hoffman made a promise to keep the family together, so that meant she did a lot of traveling with him for his movies. Hoffman also told Reader’s Digest that truth is the key to three happy decades: “If you’re both working to be honest, the marriage gets better and better. Love becomes deeper.”
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson – 25 years:
Rita Wilson, 56, first met the Forrest Gump star, 57, on his TV show Bosom Buddies, which aired from 1980 to 1982. They married in 1988 and have two sons, Chet and Truman. After a quarter of a century together, Hanks, a two-time Oscar winner, recently told Piers Morgan that “Every day is a blast with Rita Wilson. … I must say that when I met Rita, I thought, ‘Oh, this is what it’s supposed to be like when you are married to someone. It’s supposed to be this carefree and easy and, you know, oddly enough, weighty.”
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell – 30 years:
The two movie stars have been together since 1983, have one child together, Wyatt, and also raised three other children from previous relationships, including Kate Hudson. Hawn, 67, recently said in a radio interview, “I think Kurt’s an extraordinary person. I love being with him, and I love our family and I love our family life.”
Jeff Bridges and Susan Geston – 36 years:
The Tron star, 63, married Susan Geston in 1977. They have three daughters, Isabelle, Jessica and Hayley. The couple met on the set of Rancho Delux and married five days after Jeff proposed. Of his first encounter with Geston, Bridges said, “I ran into Sue again at the film’s wrap party, and I asked her to dance. We danced together. … I had a feeling of being at home — a soothing feeling of being where I belonged. When I got back to Los Angeles, I realized I had fallen in love with her in that week.”
Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick – 24 years:
The Mystic River star married Kyra Sedgwick on Sept. 4, 1988, and they have two children, Travis, 23, and Sosie, 20. Sedgwick recently told Good Housekeeping that Bacon is basically the best husband a woman could ask for. “I don’t know how he does it, but he always makes me feel like I’m the most beautiful woman in the room – the only girl in the room.”
Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham – 27 years:
The media mogul and Oscar-nominated actress, 59, started dating businessman and author Stedman Graham in 1986. The two were engaged in 1992 and never married. But in a recent interview with People magazine, The Butler actress said the lack of a wedding ring means nothing to the happy couple. “We’re like an old married couple,” she said. She also told Barbara Walters a couple of years ago, “[He is] the love of my life.”
