Malcom Floyd Carted Off Field with Leg Injury

Harry How/Getty Images(SAN DIEGO) -- San Diego Chargers receiver Malcom Floyd was carted off the field Monday after hurting his right knee in a collision with cornerback Shareece Wright.

Floyd had and MRI and the team later announced that he has a strained knee.

Floyd led the Chargers last season in receptions (56) and receiving yards (814).

Losing Floyd for an extended period of time would be double trouble for San Diego: just last week the team lost its other starting receiver Danario Alexander for the season with a torn ACL.

If Floyd is out, Vincent Brown will become the Chargers' No. 1 receiver with Eddie Royal and Keenan Allen taking the next two spots on the depth chart.
