(AMMON, ID) – A mother of seven has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor child injury charge after her toddler died in a hot car earlier this summer.  Forty-one-year-old Rebecca Randall of Ammon received a 30-day suspended jail sentence and a year of unsupervised probation. Randall reportedly left her 21-month-old daughter Elizabeth alone in a car for more than three hours on June 18, when outdoor temperatures were in the low 90s. Paramedics found the baby unresponsive and took her to EIRMC where she later died. An autopsy revealed that the child died of hyperthermia.
