More US Consumers Confident About Economy, Survey Finds
(NEW YORK) -- Nearly everyone felt the impact of the recession in some way, and while many household budgets have yet to recover, more people are confident about what's ahead.
"Sentiment about local and future economic conditions actually rose to the highest levels we've seen in the past four years," says Linda Descano with the findings of the Citi Economic Pulse survey.
She says that 50 percent of respondents say they're making enough to save. More people are also planning how they spend their money, according to Descano.
"They're putting aside money in an emergency fund, they're paying off credit card balances each month," she adds.
