Ohio State Takes Down Buffalo 40-20 In Season Opener

The Buckeyes jumped out to a 23-0 lead in the first quarter until Buffalo made it 30-20 in the third quarter.

But behind quarterback Braxton Miller, Ohio State didn’t have to worry much as he completed 15 of 22 passes for 178 with two touchdowns. He also added 77 yards on the ground.

Meanwhile, Ohio State running back Jordan Hall had game he won’t soon forget. Hall ran for a career-high 159 yards, and scored two touchdowns as well.

For Buffalo, quarterback Joe Licata completed 19 of 32 passes for 185 yards. He also threw two touchdowns. Running back Brandon Oliver rushed for 73 yards on 26 carries.

In Meyer’s first season at Ohio State, the team went 12-0, but despite the undefeated season they were ineligible to play in any bowl games.
