Pocatello Police Outlast Man in Standoff

(POCATELLO, ID)  —  Pocatello Police were called out after a domestic disturbance early Thursday morning.  A woman had called police around 3am saying her husband had hit her and left their home on East Whitman.  Police caught up to the man in the 400 block of North 10th Avenue a short time later, but the man refused to come out of a house there and would not speak with officers.  Later in the morning he left the home, got into a pickup truck and barricaded himself inside.   Shortly before 10am Thursday, Police fired a beanbag shot into the cab of the truck distracting the individual and then grabbed the suspect, pulling him out of the truck window.   He was found with minor injuries, and was arrested on domestic battery charges.   No other information has been released by Police.
