Ravens Sign Brandon Stokley to One-Year Deal
(BALTIMORE) -- The Baltimore Ravens added some much-needed depth on Sunday, signing wide receiver Brandon Stokley to a one-year contract.
The 37-year-old Stokley spent the 2012 season with the Denver Broncos, catching 45 passes for 544 yards and five touchdowns.
Stokley began his career with the Ravens, helping them win their first ever Super Bowl championship in 2000. He has also spent time with the New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, and Indianapolis Colts over 14 NFL seasons.
The Ravens traded receiver Anquan Boldin to the San Francisco 49ers during the offseason and lost tight end Dennis Pitta for the year with a hip injury, so Stokley will be called upon to provide an immediate boost to the passing game.
