San Diego Mayor Ending Therapy Earlier Than Previously Announced

Photo by Bill Wechter/Getty Images(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) — San Diego Mayor Bob Filner is ending intensive therapy earlier than previously announced.
Filner, who is facing pressure to resign after sexual harassment allegations, will end intensive therapy Saturday and continue counseling on an outpatient basis, according to the Payne & Fears law firm.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Filner had said he would be in an intensive therapy program the weeks of August 5 and August 12. Filner reportedly entered the program earlier than announced.
Over a dozen women have accused Filner of making unwanted sexual advances.
According to the LA Times, the final two City Council members called for Filner’s resignation on Friday, making it a unanimous decision in City Council to remove Filner.
The Payne & Fears law firm said Friday that Filner will return to work August 19.
