Kolb will continue to undergo tests to see if he can continue playing in the NFL.

The 29-year-old Kolb was kneed in the head by a Redskins defender while diving for a first down in Saturday’s game.  He returned to the locker room four plays later with what the team called concussion-like symptoms.  He has also missed games in 2010 and 2012 with concussions.

The Bills are already without rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel, who underwent a minor knee procedure last week and is unsure if he will be ready for the season opener.

Veteran free agent quarterback Matt Leinart signed with the team this weekend to provide the Bills with some depth at the position.
