(LAKE FOREST, Ill.) — According to sources, Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall missed practice Wednesday to attend a planned follow-up appointment on his hip.
Marshall underwent arthroscopic hip surgery during the offseason, and the source said this appointment was scheduled immediately after it was performed.
Head coach Marc Trestman said that Marshall will sit out the team’s final preseason game on Thursday night, before returning to practice Monday.
“This was a planned-out miss today for personal reasons,” Trestman said. “It’s something that was part of the offseason plan since we started training camp.”
Marshall plans to be ready for the team’s first game of the regular-season against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 8.
