Infante started and hit seventh going 0-for-4 in the Tigers' 6-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox Monday night.

Infante has been out since July 4 with a left ankle sprain. He played in five games with Toledo before his return, going 4-for-19 with one RBI.

The 31-year-old is hitting .305 for the season with 38 runs scored.

The Tigers also transferred the injury-rehab assignment of pitcher Octavio Dotel from the Gulf Coast League Tigers to Class A Lakeland. Dotel hasn't pitched for the Tigers since April 19 due to right elbow inflammation.
