The win extended the team’s AL Central lead to six games over the Indians.

Miguel Cabrera added a two-run shot off Indians’ rookie Danny Salazar in the 8th-inning that put the Tigers up 4-3.  The Indians tied the game in the bottom of the frame and the game went into extras.

Jeremy Bonderman (2-3) pitched three innings for the Tigers.  He hasn’t pitched for them since Oct. 1, 2010.  Joaquin Benoit earned his 14th save of the season.
