Tom Brady Forced from Practice with Knee Injury
(FOXBOROUGH, Mass.) -- Quarterback Tom Brady left practice with an apparent knee injury during joint drills between the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday.
The eight-time Pro Bowler went down and grabbed his left knee after tossing an incomplete pass. Video taken by a fan appears to show Buccaneers defensive lineman Adrian Clayborn shoving Patriots offensive lineman Nate Solder into Brady’s leg just after the ball was released.
Brady took one play off, but returned to the field to complete the drill. Following the drill, Brady met with head coach Bill Belichick, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and head trainer Jim Whalen when it was determined that his day was done.
The Patriots haven’t said how severe Brady’s injury is.
