Liliana was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in February 2012.

The cancer has since gone into remission and she couldn’t be more excited to celebrate her 6th birthday. But there is one thing Liliana requests to help mark her big day: birthday cards from you.

“She was like, ‘Mommy, Mommy, I want to check the mail, I want to check the mail,’” the girl’s mother, Marie Baza of Alamo, Ga., told GoodMorningAmerica.com. “I thought if I could get somebody to send her mail, that would be the greatest thing in the world for her.”

Baza, 28, had signed her son up for a Lego magazine that he regularly receives, and Liliana was jealous he always had something to look forward to in the mail.

So on July 25, the mother of four took to Liliana’s “Prayers for Liliana” Facebook page to spread the word about her little girl’s one birthday wish.

“She loves to receive mail and checks our mail everyday to see if she got anything so it would be awesome if she got lots of love thru the mail,” Baza wrote.

The message was shared hundreds of times and, much to Liliana’s excitement, cards began to arrive.

“Probably around 50 so far,” Baza said. “It made me extremely happy to see her so happy. She stays in kind of an angry mood because of everything she’s gone through, so this is really sweet.”

Liliana loves her cards so much she carries them with her in a little pencil box everywhere she goes.

If you’d like to send a birthday card to Liliana, address it to Liliana Baza: P.O. Box 54, Alamo, Ga., 30411.
