(FIRTH, ID) – A wildfire started in Wolverine Canyon east of Firth Wednesday. Officials say the blaze was likely caused by lightning after a thunderstorm moved through the area at around 3 p.m. Blackfoot River Road was closed as the flames spread on the north side of the Narrows. No buildings were threatened, though two air tankers and several engines were called in to help keep the fire under control. As of Thursday morning the fire had consumed around 250 acres and is 10% contained.   Fire officials estimate they should have it 100% by Friday evening.
