Frank Gore led the charge for the 49ers, (2-2) rushing for 153 yards and a touchdown.

Colin Kaepernick threw for 167 yards with two touchdowns and no turnovers after struggling during the team’s last two games.

“We know the talent we have on this team,” Kaepernick said. “We know what we’re capable of.”

Tight end Vernon Davis returned to action for the 49ers after missing last week’s game with an injured hamstring.  He caught two passes for 18 yards and a touchdown that put the game out of reach in the third quarter.

The Rams (1-3) were held to 188 total yards of offense and were completely stuffed at the line of scrimmage.  They managed just 18 rushing yards on 19 carries.

“Tomorrow’s going to be a pretty tough day in the film room,” quarterback Sam Bradford said. “The good news is we have 10 days, 11 days until we play again and there’s going to be ample time to get that corrected.”
