Hernandez entered the courtroom in a white dress shirt and blue sport coat. The former football star glanced briefly at his fiancée Shayanna Jenkins who was seated in the front row.

Also in this courtroom, across the aisle from the Hernandez camp, were family members of the murder victim. Lloyd’s relatives were seen crying in open court.

Two weeks ago, Hernandez, 23, was charged with first-degree murder and weapons violations in connection with the shooting death of Lloyd.

Lloyd, 27, was allegedly shot five times execution-style on June 17 less than a mile from Hernandez’s North Attleboro, Mass., home.

Hernandez is being held without bail at the Bristol County House of Correction.
