His former quarterback Michael Vick has nothing but the utmost respect for Reid.

“Andy Reid is a man who will go down in history, in my book, as one of the greatest coaches of all time and one of the greatest men I’ve ever met,” Vick said on Tuesday. “I’ll never forget the opportunities given to me by this organization and by Andy Reid.  That will never change.”

Reid though does not want any of the attention on him as he comes back to Philadelphia.

“This is about our football team, it’s not about me, it’s not a one-man show,” Reid said on Tuesday.  “This will take a team effort when we play the Philadelphia Eagles.”

The Chiefs are off to a 2-0 start to their season with new quarterback Alex Smith leading the way.

“I’m just happy coach (Reid) is happy,” Vick said.  “I’m happy that he had an opportunity to start fresh and do what he loves doing.”
