“She did it while I was on the phone,” Donna Micheletti told Dr. Phil, in a preview for the Sept. 10 episode of Dr. Phil. “I heard her last breath.”

Allemand, 29, hanged herself with a vacuum cleaner cord on Aug. 12 after having a fight with her boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson.

In a clip obtained by People magazine Micheletti said that the memory of the call “destroys me, but if it made her feel better, I don’t mind dealing with this.”

“I’m the closest person in the world to her,” Micheletti said, sobbing. “And she didn’t want to be alone when she left this world, so she wanted mommy to be there, I guess.”

Also on Tuesday’s premiere is Jake Pavelka, who was the “Bachelor” for Allemand’s season.

“I’ve never lost anybody close to me,” he said. “Gia really understood me. We got really close after the show. We had such a special relationship. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel that I knew her, but I wish it was not for such a short time, because I’ve never met anybody like her.”
