(JACKSON, WY) – Investigators in Jackson Hole have launched a murder investigation after a body was found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest last week. Authorities say the victim’s head was separated from its torso and that the victim had been dead for about two weeks. The body has since been transferred to Idaho Falls for an autopsy and possible identification. The body was found about four miles south of Wilson near Mosquito Creek Road. Officials believe it may have been someone camping in the area.
